Cultural and Physical Control: Inspect host trees for defoliation on branches as well as premature die-off. Remove and dispose of infested branches as necessary.

Description: Adults: Overall mottled gray in color, with light burnt orange fringes and central striping on the forewings. White patterning also present on both forewing and hindwing.
Larvae: Can have roughly 6-7 instars.
Eggs:
Life Cycle: Adults emerge starting in July. Females mate and lay eggs in the evening on young host trees. Adults are mainly nocturnal, remaining still during the day.
