Marrone Bio Innovations has announced an upcoming Webinar presenting an overview of arthropod pests of strawberries, to include identification, life cycles, scouting techniques, thresholds, conventional and biopesticide treatment options, as well as the importance of resistance management. The Webinar, presented by Agrian and sponsored by MBI, will be taught by Surendra Dara, Ph.D., University of California San Luis Obispo Cooperate Extension, covering both Santa Barbara and Ventura Counties.

“This will be our fourth in a series of webinars designed to provide continuing education to pest control advisors in California,” said Tim Johnson, Ph.D., vice president of field development and technical services at MBI. “The southern coastal area, where Dr. Dara is located, is a key strawberry production area for the United States, and an area where arthropods, such as Lygus, can be a true problem for producers.”

Designed for growers, pest control advisers, certified crop advisers, qualified applicators, private applicators and others affiliated with crop production, this Webinar is free of charge and will provide one credit hour for continuing education for those enrolled.
