Description: A universal trap for trapping, surveying and detection of bark and ambrosia beetles, longhorn beetles, wood wasps, and other forsetry and tropical pests. 

The panel trap is an effective tool for monitoring Scolytis, Cerambycids, Buprestids, and other forest Coleoptera and Hymenoptera. These traps also capture fewer beneficial insects than multi-funnel trap

Panel traps are very robust under rigorous field conditions. Panel traps are lightweight, easy to carry, weather and water-proof, and easy to install. Panel Traps disassemble rapidly, store flat, and use less storage than funnel traps. 

It is the preferred trap for Sirex wood wasp in national monitoring programs in Australia. Its unique design was developed in cooperation with Oregon State University and the US Forest Service. While simulating a tree of large diameter, the trap provides a large surface area to maximize trapping.
